Parks belong to the citizens of this province. They are the last environmental protection of natural spaces, along with conservation areas. DO NOT TOUCH! Wasaga is not yours to give to developers. Ford’s government …. “Pave paradise, put up a parking lot”. I will die on this hill! Save our parks!

Please. Do not transfer land to Town of Wasaga Beach. Current Mayor, Brian Smith will sell or gift it to his developer buddies in a heart beat. Read more

Stop developing on conserved land...didn't this government already break this promise and apologize? Invest in uplifting the community through education and social services which address local problems, not building more commercial properties for investors to get rich. Read more

NO to the sale of Beaches 1 and 2. No to Bill 5, and the striping of protections to endangered species. Come on, FORD GOVERNMENT -- I thought Ontario was NOT FOR SALE?! Shame on this government, Bill 5, and the constant selling of precious and limited resources and lands. Read more

Please leave our precious parklands alone. Land should not be handed over to Doug Ford's greedy developers. The Government is supposed to listen to the voices of the people. Read more

I oppose this Act as this will impact the natural environment. Selling off public natural land to developers is NOT protecting Ontario and its residents. Without environmental assessments thanks to Bill 5, this Act will impact the habitat of the ENDANGERED piping glovers. Read more

The current habitat for the plovers needs to be protected and ideally expanded. The proposed changes do not support that and won’t be conducive to habitat conservation. Please do not allow the changes for the tourism proposal, save this critical habitat. Read more

This is an awful idea. Provincial parks not only protect these beautiful places but they make them accessible to everyone. I say NNOOO to this illegal land grab.

The proposed transfer of property will have dangerous consequences for endangered species, such as the piping plover. Please do not transfer caretaking responsibilities of this important habitat. Plovers can encourage tourism of birders and photographers from a respectful distance.

The proposal to amend the Parks and Recreation Reserves Act should not happen anywhere including at Wasaga Beach. It will not enhance tourism but it will take away natural habitats as well as public beach access for Ontario and its tourists. Stop this amendment!

When will the graft end. Keep these lands in public ownership and control. Stop the sell off and stop the gutting of government controls that ensure public access to resources and rights. This is capitalism out of control. Read more

Wasaga Beach park is one of the reasons why Ontario is so great! Once you get rid of these trees and land it will be gone forever and will never be the same. No one wants this! You will ruin the shore line and have a negative environmental impact. Do not do it!!!! Read more

I’m writing to express my opposition to the proposed sale and development of public land at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial parks are meant to protect nature, support biodiversity, and provide accessible green space for everyone, not to be sold off for private profit. Read more
