I do not support the sale of public land to private stakeholders. Selling off portions of provincial parks - waterfront or otherwise - is atrocious. I thought Ontario wasn't for sale? Read more

I strongly oppose any sale of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park for development. The land belongs to Ontarians and should be for the public to enjoy, not private interests to profit from. This sets a dangerous precedent for other provincial parks. Read more

I urge the ford government to rethink this proposal. Our world is being torn apart by climate change and we need to preserve the nature we have left. By allowing this proposal to go though you will be destroying our environment more than is needed. Read more

Hello, I oppose the amendment to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, and Historical Parks Act to support the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal by converting park land. Please keep this land as park land. Thank you. Read more

Wasaga Beach Provincial Park should remain intact, there's at-risk bird habitat there! Don't give it to developers! We must preserve public lands and what's left of our nature!

The government should keep this land protected. Biodiversity is at risk globally. The government needs to prioritize protecting species at risk.

I am concerned about the protection and management of important Piping Plover habitat at Wasaga Beach. We need an outcome that continues to conserve the endangered plovers species. Read more

I am weighing in on the proposed and completed sell off of Ontario Parks land and all other public lands that should absolutely stay in the hands of the public for environmental protection and public use. Read more

I strongly oppose the sale of provincial parks for private development. This is a short term solution to raise funds for provincial coffers which will ultimately lead to a long term detrimental impact on the environment. Read more

The town hasn't done well taking care of its current properties that line the beach. They've sold it off for profit. We cannot release this land in hopes that they will keep it protected and natural the way provincial parks do. Read more

Yes, changes needed to be made at Wasaga but it didn't need to be completely torn down. Plus the Government has shown how irresponsible they are at managing Ontario Place. I would keep them away from Wasaga. They do not care about the environment just lining developers pockets.

The actions the government has proposed will have an irreversible negative consequence for the longest fresh water beach in the world. Future generations of Ontarian's have the right to experience the natural beauty of Wasaga Beach as previous generations. Read more
