Please leave the provincial parks at Wasaga Beach alone. The parkland was intended for the public and should stay that way.

Endangered species habitat and appropriate buffet zones must be protected by law and by common sense. Selling off public shoreline is wrong

I’ve lived in Ontario all my life and it’s disgusting to think this administration wants to sell off publicly protected land for private development. This is an area owned and used by all Ontarians and should be kept as such. Read more

Wasaga Beach is the longest freshwater beach in the world. Take a moment to let that sink in.... I have enjoyed swimming at Wasaga beach in my teenage years and now that I have moved to Wasaga, I feel really privileged to be part of this community. Read more

This is another example of business-first cronyism in the ford government where the few benefit in the short term while the many suffer in the long run, it’s happened with Bradford pass, Ontario place, the Ontario science centre now Wassaga beach. Read more

Keep our land free and accessible to all. We do not need more development of our natural preserved lands. Leave it as it is. NO SELLING PUBLIC LAND

This proposal is very alarming. It will endanger vital nesting habitat of endangered plovers and others and it opens the door to privatizing other Ontario parks. Read more

Do not go through with this legislation please, the land being sold is critical habitat for wildlife including endangered species. This is not a good step forward and it will not help the current economy, rather it will destroy a reliable source of income that is parks tourism. Read more

Keep Ontario’s beaches public. Do not put existing wildlife at risk to fill the coffers of the municipality and private businesses.

I think it's wrong and exploitative to remove the environmental protections afforded to Nancy Island, and based on the Ontario government's previous actions relating to environmental conservancy, I don't trust them to take care of it through the new system they'll put in place. Read more

I think it is imperative to keep Provincial and Federal parks and green spaces. Once they are paved over there is no going back. Enough with environmental damage being done.

Public waterfront property should absolutely not be privatized. We have seen what is happening with Ontario Place. This should not be repeated. With our population increasing, we have a need for more public protected water front, not less. Read more

To the Decision Makers: Reject the Proposal to Remove and Sell Portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park I am firmly opposed to the proposed removal of Beach Areas 1, 2, New Wasaga, and Allenwood Beach from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park and the sale of Crown-owned public land to private developers.
