I'm very concerned about the proposed selling off of parts of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Once again, the Ford government is destroying critical green space in favour of developer buddies. I'm sickened, yet again! Selling off parts of Provincial Parks is disgusting!

Please do not remove key areas of the beach from the provincial park, especially the places where the piping plovers nest and live. We must protect our endangered species!

This is NOT OK. Provincial Parks in Ontario should be growing, not shrinking. They are there for a reason. Increasing tourism and attracting investment is great, but not at the expense of shrinking our Provincial Parks and destroying the wildlife and habitat that they are there to protect. Read more

I strongly oppose the plan for removal of all of Beach Areas 1, 2, New Wasaga and Allenwood Beach. Crown Lands and Provincial Parks are meant for the people/public to enjoy the natural beauty of Ontario and should not be used for development purposes. Read more

Provincial parks should be expanded, not cut up and sold off to commercial interests. Keep all of Wasaga Beach for everyone, not just a few cottagers!!!

As an Ontario citizen, I completely oppose this proposed legislative amendment to sell off sections of Wasaga Beach Ontario Provincial Park to eventually enable developers to take possession of these properties. Read more

Why is there no statement, release, master plan on what the township plans to do with this protected land? Why was this not included in the original Master Plan created by the Town of Wasaga Beach? It seems to not be integral to the original plan. Read more

Please do not change the laws that allow Provincial Park land to be sold in any size. There are other ways to improve tourism and the local economy.

I am completely against any legislative or other changes that enable developers to build on well established public spaces, especially parks that should not be reduced in size. We have lots of space for building homes elsewhere. Read more

Do not take land from Ontario's provincial parks for any reason. These lands belong to the public, not to the government of the day. Read more

We need more and larger parks as our population grows. Selling park land to private hands is both short sighted and counter productfull to our province. Don't do it!

Dear planners Please make sure that the habitat of the piping plovers is preserved. Its their beach too, and they materially improve these sites with their presence. We don't want to lose them. Thank you Read more

I am against this Town of Wasaga Beach proposal and stated legislative amendments. Wasaga Beach doesn't such a proposal, for 'tourism enhancement'. There's already enough tourism re Wasaga Beach.

I am not in favour of delisting any part of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. It is a legacy for future generations and provides important habitat for endangered species like piping plover.

I think this amendment would lessen the environmental protection of these proposed areas of Wasaga Beach Provincial park. I think Nancy Island and Beach 1 and 2 should remain part of the provincial park. Development would hinder the parks environmental protections. Best to.leave things as is!:

Provincial parks should only be expanded, never shrunk. They are for nature and people to enjoy. Please create more instead. Current parks have gotten very crowded and sell out quickly. Read more
