Stop privatization of nature. Stop stealing from the public. Stop destroying the planet. Stop ignoring the majority of the people in Ontario.

To comment, I just read up on Wasaga Beach. It seems part of the tourism draw is the natural untouched nature of the beach, its birds and other wildlife. Whether tourists are local or from other lands, a well-preserved environment that's open for them to access is important to them. Read more

The thought of selling off provincial park land is unacceptable and disgusting. The residents of Ontario have enjoyed this natural land and it should continue to serve all residents and visitors. As an Ontario resident, we should strive to maintain all of the natural beauty that our province has. Read more

This transfer is long overdue. The Town will provide Nancy Island with the Historical Recognition and services that a critical part of Canadian history deserves. The Province has not been committed to preserving the site as it deserves. Read more

We should not be taking land from Provincial Parks they should be protected at all costs! We should also be protecting and providing sensitive areas for bird and mammal species always. They are under threat and as stewards of the earth we have the privilege of maintaining their being. Read more

I'll be blunt. Wasaga Beach does NOT need more development. This is totally unacceptable and will cause much hardship and angst among the local residents, not to mention the Piping Plover which is on the Endangered Species list. Read more

This is an alarming, wrongheaded proposal that needs to be quickly rejected. There are social, environmental and cultural impacts that have not been analysed, presented or considered in the proposal. Read more

I feel that all the protected parkland is being taken away from residents. It is also not environmentally friendly. This is a provincial park that we would expect the province to protect not destroy. This is a hard no from me

This is a greedy, incompetent, borderline illegal land grab. Stop trying to make everything your Greenbelt scandal for the fifth time.

We have lived in Wasaga Beach full time, since 1980. Beach One has always been our "go to" spot to walk and enjoy the dunes (along with many others). It's a fact that the dunes are fragile and no one should be in the water where the river meets the bay because of the current. Read more

I do not support the decision to move forward with the proposed changes. Mr Prime Minister shouldn't of even been able to become Prime Mister as it is a conflict of interest as his other family members we're Prime Minister before him. Where are the ethics of Ontario? Read more

No! Ontario residents want our provincial parks to stay public. We don't want public land to be sold off and developed. Do not sell off any parts of any provincial parks.

I am 100% against the proposal. Keep wasaga beach as a provincial park, and properly fund it to maintain the facilities

Ontario's provincial parks should never be sold to private individuals or developers. These green spaces are one of the few affordable recreational areas we can all enjoy. Read more
