Please stop trying to develop conservation / nature areas. They are the best part of Ontario and have so much cultural and historical importance. It’s stolen land and you shouldn’t try to capitalize on it.

I do not want any land transfer to happen that will allow all of beach one and two to be developed into condos. The current development has already drastically downsized parking available to visitors and residents including those with accessibility issues. Read more

I am concerned about allowing more beach front development, in an era where are quite unsure how negatively climate change will be affecting our waterlines and species associated that live nearby. Short term cash vs long term survival is quite disturbing to me. Read more

As someone who visits Wasaga Beach regularly, I would say that it is shameful that the town and province would trade a natural wonder for glass and steel monstrosities all in the name of commerce. Read more

This is totally unnecessary sounds like the debacle of Ontario place just a different location. Save these important birds, already endangered here in Ontario.

Please do not sell Wasaga Beach to developers. It would a blatant and complete disregard to not only citizens’ ability to enjoy themselves and have fun in their own city, but also puts the environment further at risk. Read more

To whom it may concern, These proposals undermine the long-term protection of public parkland and set a dangerous precedent for conservation in Ontario. I believe there are multiple issues with the proposals. They are outlined below: Loss of Protected Parkland: Read more

I am against selling off any of our provincial parks or lands to developers. This is our heritage and is not for sale

Absolutely against selling any part of any provincial park to anyone. Provincial parks were created for the citizens of Ontario and should remain so for all to enjoy. I’ve enjoyed camping at many provincial parks throughout this province for more than 30 years and they do a great job! Read more

This amendment seems like a blatant cash grab and sets a very bad precedent in terms of loss of public land and nature habitat. Loss of this kind of nature is permanent and effects us all negatively now and In the long term. Read more

As a veteran, I am extremely disappointed with the proposal of selling what little we have left in this province on open natural access along our shorelines. This needs to be protected not buildozered! We do not need more concrete along our shorelines! Keep that in the city! Read more

It is unbelievable to me that this proposal is even being considered. We are already experiencing the effects of climate change, which is somewhat mitigated by wetlands such as those at Wasaga. Tourists come for the natural beauty and public beaches. Read more

I am commenting to push for the Immediate stop of the sale of 645 acres of Wasaga Provincial Park; to not amend the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act; and to recognize its responsibility to hold Provincial Park lands in trust for future generations.

Premier Ford, There has to be a better way. I did not vote for continued loss of green space or removing acres of land or increased loss of habitat. I did not vote to be a contributor of a dismal future for the planet for kids and grandchildren. Read more

I believe selling public land for private development is an awful idea. It will destroy ecosystems and ruin the beach. It will ruin tourism and make the businesses in the area poorer. It will ruin the economy in Wasaga and surrounding areas
