As a lifetime citizen of Ontario and Canada I do NOT concent of any meddling of provincial parks by the Ford Ontario government. These parks belong to US the CITIZENS and NOT his developer buddies. Read more

Please continue to protect Piping Plovers around the Wasaga Area. Why is it 2025 and we are still continue to go backwards with our efforts rather than forwards. It is so beyond frustrating. I went to school for Fish and Wildlife Conservation Technician and graduated in 2024. Read more

The governments plan to sell off provincial park land to private developers is abhorrent. These lands should be maintained for all Canadians. If the province wants to revitalize these areas spend our tax dollars to do so, don't sell off for short term gain. Read more

This is a terrible idea. We need more lands that are protected from development, not less. There are habitats that are unique to that area, not to mention the erosion and severe weather protections of the sand dunes that would undoubtedly be removed. Read more

Taking parts of a Provincial Park, which is supposed to be for the people of Ontario, and selling it to rich developers is an atrocious idea. It not only demonstrates that the provincial government only cares about the rich, it illustrates that that the government is corruptible. Read more

The proposal to transfer Nancy Island makes sense, as the ministry in charge of culture and tourism should show the respect an important historical site deserves. The money saved in the Parks budget should be spent enhancing the beaches that remain under Provincial control. Read more

This is really disgusting. How can the federal government and provincial government honestly believe MORE development is needed in a place that’s essential for species at risk?! There are wildfires burning all over Canada and you think is a god idea to destroy more in tact ecosystems?! Read more

Wasaga Beach is a incredible place with important wildlife and green spaces for Ontarians to enjoy. This area should remain as publicly owned space rather than private. This proposal prioritizes the monetization and privatization of an invaluable ecological gem. Read more

The importance of a healthy economy for Wasaga Beach and the overall Province is critical, I don't understand why it is important or required for the Province to dispose of these lands and remove them as part of the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Read more

This bill which should not have passed in the first place is actively working against the interests of Ontarians both present and future. There is heaps of evidence of the benefits of preserving nature exactly like Wasaga Beach has been doing for both flora, fauna and most importantly - PEOPLE. Read more

Our household does not agree with Prov. Gov't selling off our Prov. Parks! They belong to the people of Ontario with access to all to enjoy. They provide for wildlife, they are needed for the ecosystem. Keep hands off. Thank you.

These changes must not go forward. This parkland is for the enjoyment of the people of Ontario, and to protect sensitive environment and species for future generations. Wasaga beach is already a popular destination. Read more
