Allowing the proposal for the town of Wasaga Beach to appropriate the now protected land for development opens a smorgasbord for the development of many different projects as well as the eroding of the laws that were set up in the past to preserve the natural beauty of the environment that past gen Read more

Our family strongly disapproves of this proposed development of this land. It is used by many families for enjoyment. Any political party that sells off properties in such a fashion will not get our support come election time.

Honestly, this is a terrible idea! We do not need more development in provincial parks, WE NEED MORE PROVINCIAL PARKS! People who can’t afford property in this proposed development CAN afford to go camping. Read more

I am opposing the decision to sell the land to the town for development purposes because it will create irreversible damages to the Piping Plovers and they will become extinct.

Stop this! We need to protect the land and animals near the water, it helps prevent flooding and will devastate the ecosystem. The changing weather is a result of climate change

To much development in Wasaga Beach at present. This area has a traffic problem at present time, also we need to protect our green spaces. The beach area has slug residue that was not present 30 - 40 years ago. Stop the development and save our beach.

Doug Ford needs to stop trampling on the rights of endangered species, Indigenous peoples, and the children of Ontario. Provincial parks and beaches were meant to be respected, honoured, and enjoyed by all. Stop this madness now and listen to the people of Ontario. Read more

I oppose this proposal. Economic growth does not have to come at the expense of public spaces that provide habitat for species at risk. Read more

Wasaga beach supports so much biodiversity. If this proposal were to come to pass, there will be irreversible ecological consequences-- Ontario must stand up for our natural areas, to ensure that these areas will continue to be protected for years to come. Read more

I strongly object to the decision to transfer Waterfront Provincial Park to community control, which undermines its protection. Provincial parks are designated to preserve natural spaces for future generations, offering both ecological and recreational benefits. Read more

This is yet another appalling, money driven attack by Ford and the money that backs his seat. There is no rationale in this action beyond the money he and his stand to make. Read more

I am tired of the provincial government privatizing resources meant for all to enjoy so that only those that can afford it are able to access them. If this goes through they have lost my vote Read more

I am 100% against selling our parks to private companies. Our residents pay taxes to maintain green spaces for public use. Stop wasting our tax money on ridiculous vanity projects and tunnels under highways. Stop selling all our provincial assets.

Doug Ford needs to leave all of our designated lands alone including indigenous people’s property he has zero respect for our environment….leave wasaga beach as is and deal with more important issues such as hospitals and education.
