All the housing should be affordable housing. Thats what was there before, why does there need to be soo many for-profit? It should be given back to the city to help with the homelessness crisis!
I agree wholeheartedly that the proposal to redevelop this site on James St. N in Hamilton should go ahead as soon as possible. We need more housing for low income people, as well as others, and this area has been sitting derelict and vacant for far too long!

It is unbelievable this land has sat unused and ugly for so very long, while the neighbourhood is overwhelmed with encampments. The change is from one type of social housing to another, more modern development that is consistent with Hamilton's needs for housing.

We moved to Hamilton’s North End in 2017. We were anticipating development of the area and thought it was a wise investment. Unfortunately after eight years, we’re now seriously thinking of leaving Hamilton.

I live within one block of the proposed Jamesville Development in Hamilton.
I am categorically against the proposal which has been sent to the Ministry by the City of Hamilton which proposes a higher population density and a 20, rather than a 12, story tall high-rise.

It is a site that has sat abandoned for too long. With a housing crisis in Hamilton, please expedite this process to allow more housing opportunities. The location is ideal for a new residential development as it is near schools, recreation and shopping.
Hamilton needs affordable housing now more than ever. We cannot continue to have dilapidated vacant buildings where housing should be. The continued delays in this case are unacceptable and not in public interest.
