This development should have been completed by now, because of this kind of delay tactics, too many absentee landlords/speculators have properties that are not maintained and are in limbo while more and more people in Hamilton face Homelessness. This is unacceptable and needs urgent attention. Read more

We desperately need this site for housing development. Each time we drive by we see what a shame it is to have a perfectly good available sight for new housing. We need a Ministerial Soning Order immediately for this site to be developed! Read more

The request for an MZO (Ministers Zoning Order) is, in the case of the Jamesville area in Hamilton, Ontario is absolutely appropriate. This area has been an eyesore for many years now. The property is sitting there, unable to be used, preventing sorely needed affordable housing from being built. Read more

I'm tired of our governments at all levels breaking laws when they find them inconvenient. If these laws/rules/processes shouldn't apply then change them for everyone; do not just make exceptions for the government. CN has a right to o ject and should be heard. Read more

Please use your provincial powers to allow the Jamesville site to be fully developed into dense housing. This site is some of the best and most livable space in the region - a short walk to GO transit, all the amenities of downtown Hamilton, the waterfront, etc. Read more

Why is it taking so long for us to make good use of land around our new West Harbour station? Of course, that area needs to be rezoned! My friend lives near Jamesville. Every time I walk by that block of derelict empty little houses, I feel a sense of shame. Read more

Hamilton needs this housing development. The proposed plan for both towers and townhouses on this lot will create desperately needed affordable housing in a city where homelessness has exploded. CN rail's delays, for years, are not acceptable given the housing crisis. Read more
