As a resident of Thunder Bay, I am OPPOSED to the Province’s proposed amalgamation of the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority (LRCA) with six other Southern Ontario Conservation Authorities to form the “Huron-Superior Regional Conservation Authority”. Read more

This an absurd concept and certainly will not "improve" anything in the province. There will be no natural spaces left for future generations if the current administration continues to destroy the environment and dismantle the agencies which protect it. Please stop being so short-sighted and greedy.

Do not do this. The purpose is entirely missed and instead hurting everyone this plan is supposed to help. If there is anything we need as Canadians right now, it is more protection from climate change, and more government initiatives to minimize our cause and effects. Read more

Please reconsider keeping northern and northwestern Ontario conservation authorities separate from the south. M To instill the integrity of each region this is necessary. Both have unique qualities and are not compatible with 1 each other and therefore, should have their own mandates.

Amalgamation means fewer resources and less staff, you’re not fooling anyone. The Ford government is well known for the damage it’s caused to our environmental protections. Maybe listen to your “lowly” staff (ie experts) and axe this idea.

The proposed changes to the boundaries for Lakehead Regional Conservation Area are poorly considered. I suggest that proponents of the plan look at a map of Ontario. Northwestern Ontario has little in common with the area suggested they join. Read more
