It is absolutely essential for to keep services local. The large an organization is the less effective it becomes. Northern Western Ontario has unique environmental challenges that need local support systems.

I am 100% AGAINST THIS proposal. Local boots on the ground are what is crucial for conservation, not an amalgamation of far flung people who don’t have a handle on what is required. For the sake of nature and future generations, I implore you not to do this. Read more

Leave our conservation authorities as they are. Enough selling off Ontario to the highest bidder. Our environment must be protected from greedy developers. More and more, your actions are not supported by the people of Ontario. We will remember on election day.

Consolidating Conservation Authorities is a destructive and corrupt plan. Nobody benefits from this - it will be much more difficult for Authorities to share resources and much more difficult for them to address local issues. Everybody knows this only helps developers and only helps Doug Ford. Read more

I am very concerned with the expansive area that will be made with consolidating the Conservation areas. I can't help but think this is adding another area of bureaucracy. Where would local people with concerns go to consult regarding issues? Read more

I strongly believe that 36 conservation authorities should not be consolidated into 7 conservation authorities. I work at Conservation Halton with 8 parks under our care. Each park is unique and has it's own needs, biodiversity and gifts to the public. Read more

I feel that this government has been systematically dismantling environmental protections, including changes that have already occurred to the jurisdiction of Conservation Authorities. I strongly disagree with this direction. Read more

This is a highly valued service in Thunder Bay. Northwestern Ontario is not Barrie by any means and do not share any tributary water systems . The GTA has 2 offices in some communities. By all means reduce those but not ours to something a thousand miles away. Read more
