In no way will this proposal improve how the conservation authorities work to keeping our wild lands safe and healthy. They are already understaffed and underfunded, and I foresee this deteriorating even further under this government and proposal. Read more

I do not agree with this proposal. This is clearly Doug Ford trying to strip more environmental protections and make it easier for his buddies to get rich by privatization and selling our protected lands to developers. What he is trying to do at wasaga beach is disgusting and so is this. Read more

I do not support this action to consolidate. We need local voices to be heard. consolidation will result in substantial transition costs, not the least of which is time. In all facets, that would divert resources from front-line service delivery and delay desired outcomes. Read more

Facilitating amalgamation of conservation authorities to reduce costs and inefficiencies is the responsible approach. Taxpayers cannot afford much more than is asked of them so anything that reduces red tape, excessive administrative costs and the impact on taxes is appreciated.

Seriously concerned about this proposal especially in the proposed St Lawrence area. Whenever major urban areas are in the same mix with more rural areas, and smaller towns and villages, the demands of major urban development trump the needs of smaller ! Local areas. Read more
