as for consolidating the RCA's, just shut them all down, sell off the buildings, vehicles and everything else and save us the added tax needed to support their eco-lunacy. They add nothing to quality of life for anyone but themselves. Send them packing. Just one more expense we don't need. Read more

The plan to merge the existing Conservation Authorities into 7 large areas is a bad and short-sighted plan. The proposal will remove the oversights for clean water and will severely hamper the stated mandate to protect people and properties. Read more

All this will do is cut jobs which in turns creates more homelessness. Another hit to our environment while the cities and the populations keeps growing out of control. No to the new proposed boundaries.

Please keep the conservation authorities local be sure their local knowledge of water sheds and local flood risk is very important. As farmers we rely on our current CA and its staff, please don’t join them into fewer larger CAs.

I am happy with SNC. I volunteer as a forest steward and although I’m not paid, I feel I help keep their forests safe and healthy. I fear moving to one provincial authority would result in the loss of this program. Read more

The mandate of the Conservation Authorities has changed completely since their inception post-hurricane Hazel. All they do is regulate private property for the sole purpose of opposing and preventing development. The proposed changes are long overdue. Read more

This proposal to amalgamate conservation authorities is deeply concerning and should not go through. Each conservation authority has region specific knowledge and the staff are experts on the land. Their role is to PROTECT our water…there is nothing more important than that. Read more
