This Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Read more

The economic and viability case for these MZOs and this project has collapsed. The condominium market has both collapsed and shifted, with the market no longer supporting high rise projects dominated by studios and one-bedroom units, which is the configuration this TOC proposes. Read more

The plan to build high density housing near the Oakville GO station is an ill-conceived plan that will bring paralyzing congestion to that area. It also does not deliver what it is promising. Read more

Proceeding with an MZO would lock in a delayed, investor-dependent multiple tower project that: does not start until after 2030; fails the Province’s priorities to get shovels in the ground now and build family homes faster, and increases absorption, fiscal, and governance risk; Read more
