I truly believe in affordable housing, better transit; but building large buildings on a go transit line is NOT giving you sustainable transit for day to day living. You can do NOTHING else in the subhurbs without cars. Read more

These MZOs are unnecessary, unjustified, and harmful. Oakville already has a fully approved, provincially compliant planning framework in OPA 70 that enables significant growth, can proceed sooner, and was developed through an open, democratic process. Read more

This Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Read more

The economic and viability case for these MZOs and this project has collapsed. The condominium market has both collapsed and shifted, with the market no longer supporting high rise projects dominated by studios and one-bedroom units, which is the configuration this TOC proposes. Read more
