I am supportive of more housing in Ontario, however, limiting the number (percent) of affordable housing units per development is ridiculous. Ontarian's need affordable housing more than ever- having new houses is great but most people can't afford to buy a house that is $700,000! Read more

This amendment will do nothing to improve access to affordable housing. Pricing houses at 80% of market value is NOT affordable housing. No where close. Stop trying to promote this amendment as a strategy to improve access to affordable housing.

I was very dismayed to see the government go back on their words published last year in the Toronto Star where Minister Steve Clark stated that the government was "not going to entertain any conversations about a land swap" in regards to Ontario's Greenbelt. Read more

5% upper limit is not enough! We need a good MINIMUM to ensure affordable housing is built with EVERY development or redevelopment. This inclusionary zoning amendment needs to be more ambitions to allow more variety in housing stock in rental or to-own units. Read more

I would urge you to use your collective wisdom in arriving at an acceptable way to move forward without grabbing away any of the green belt. Once that is done, there is no going back. Please DO NOT TOUCH the green space is favour of what you call, moving forward. Read more
