This Bill is an egregious overstep of provincial authority and creates the conditions for environmental damages. Not only does it reduce provincial accountability, it also gives the Premier authority to designate "economic zones" to the detriment of our environment in Ontario. Read more

While I agree we are in an economic and housing crisis in Ontario, we are also in a climate crisis. Disregarding the safety and longevity of our endangered species and habitats is not the answer. I strongly disapprove of bill 5

Rolling back environmental protections is a dangerous precedent not only for the species at risk - of which there are many that would be negatively and disastrously affected by this policy - but for protection policies as a whole. Read more

I realize this government wants to be able to fast track development, which we all understand is important for a growing province, but allowing the indiscriminate destruction of land and natural habitats without any form of oversight is just wrong. There has to be a better way. Read more

Please don’t make this bill a reality. I’m a teenager and I want to grow up in a world as beautiful as the one I was born in, with all the creatures that I was born around. I want to pass that on to my children. Read more

These proposed changes are outrageous and irresponsible. I am deeply disappointed in the government. It looks like they are using Trump as an excuse to destroy important environmental protections. Read more

As a citizen of Ontario, I oppose this bill. The negative implications that it has on our environment and wildlife are too great to overlook. Endangered species need to continue to be protected! Please DO NOT pass this bill.
