Do not implement these changes. They are not helpful to sustain good lives for Ontarians. We need better protections for our environment not weak and ineffective policy. Endangered species need to be supported to recover and all wildlife monitored so as to not become threatened. Read more

Doug Ford’s new Bill 5 isn’t just about “cutting red tape”—it’s about cutting away environmental protections that keep endangered species alive. If passed, this bill would weaken Ontario’s conservation laws and allow development to move forward without proper oversight. Read more

As government officials, you need to prioritize the collective wellbeing of all life on our planet, and quit worrying about padding your pockets or feeling important. My children need a future to look forward to… and you can’t eat money. Read more

Bill 5 could endanger animals by diminishing the effectiveness of local governance in environmental protection. With fewer city councilors, there may be less oversight and advocacy for wildlife conservation initiatives and habitat protection measures. Read more

Please do not pass this bill. As a born amd raised anadian, nothing makes me prouder than the natural habitats and species we have in our land. Canadians are synonyms with nature lovers and being environmentally conscious. Read more

Premier Ford has no right to demolish the wildlife and lands of Ontario for his own financial and political gains. He knows nothing of the long lasting environmental damage that this bill will do to Ontarios environment. Read more

I oppose Bill 5. I understand the necessity to continue to build housing and infrastructure but not at the cost of vulnerable or endangered species that will inevitably be hurt if the environmental assessments are not thoroughly completed. Read more

I strongly oppose the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act, 2007, and the introduction of the Species Conservation Act, 2025. This is not a conservation framework — it is deregulation disguised as reform. Read more

Bill 5 is an assault on land and wildlife in Ontario. The information presented about The new Species Conservation Program is incredibly vague and provides no insight into what actions will actually take place to maintain conservation and protection of the land and animals. Read more

Do NOT pass this Bill. Doug Ford has profited immensely from his shady developer deals. This is just another means to get more money in his and their pockets while destroying habitats and not even building affordable housing. Read more

I am concerned that this bill weakens protections for endangered and at risk species in Ontario. One of the things that makes our province special is the many animals and plants that live here. We cannot afford to deregulate protections and risk losing them forever. Read more

Leave our wildlife and green spaces alone. Ontario is losing it's green space. How about focusing on fixing our crumbling healthcare, crumbling education system, the crime, homeless, drug abuse issues. Ontario has had enough!!!

This is a terrible proposal. We need to continue protecting the environment or there is little point to keep on living. We cannot eat or breathe money. This is just men acting like children and destroying things for their own profit. Pathetic. Please do better.

If this bill goes through, it will destroy everything we stand for. This is exactly what Trump administration and their lobbyists do in the US. Let's not become the evil that threatens our endangered species. We want to live in harmony with the nature not destroy it.
