This bill will destroy the land that Canada is already losing due to overdevelopment. The protected species and the land that they live in is a crucial part of canadas ecosystem as well as canadas history and biodiversity among flora and fauna.

Please reconsider this bill 5. We need biodiversity, parklands and green space now more than ever! I spend much of my volunteering time rescuing bees and turtles and other at risk species. This bill will do way more damage than any advantage you are seeking. Please listen to reason on this one. Read more

I oppose Bill 5. There should be environmental review on all building projects before any part of the building process commences, especially into spaces that have not been previously built upon. Read more

Taking away the Ministry's powers to review and approve permits will put species at risk. It puts the onus on builders and is a MASSIVE conflict of interest -- their interest is in the money NOT the species. Read more

This is completely unacceptable! We don’t get species back when they are destroyed. The web of life, that we rely upon, depends on biodiversity. Any 7th grader can tell you this is the worst decision any government can make! Homes are meaningless if we have an ecological collapse.

The irony of Doug Ford saying "Canada is not for sale" but Ontario is. This is heartbreaking and absolutely enraging to me. I'm 20 years old, I want a future, I want my children to know about nature, not highways. Read more

I am opposed to Bill 5 and I want stronger environmental protections for endangered species and wildlife. I am opposed to fast-tracking industrial developments at the cost of Ontario’s vibrant environment and the species who live here.

I am a resident of Ontario and I am totally against Bill5. It goes against enviornmental protection and blatant disregard for native burial ground. Shame on Doug Ford, he is doing another sneaky move to profit him and his friends. Hasn't he leaned anything from the Green belt and Spa fiasco! Read more

I do not support Bill 5. I support saving our green spaces. Businesses should not get to fast track development at the expense of our environment. Proper vetting and consultation needs to be followed before any destruction of green spaces for corporate profit.
