As an individual who is involved in volunteering for endangered species, it is crucial that we invest more into conservation and protection efforts. It is disheartening to see a reduction in protection efforts in some species.

I believe that it has been observed in multiple countries that politics having the power to restrict or interfere with scientific matter, never end well. There will always be ulterior motives as to which species should be on the list or not. Read more

This looks like reduced security for the environment and a cheep way for businesses and government to push through harmful building projects. I’m increasing frustrated with Fords attempts to push his agenda without taking proper environmental considerations and procedures. Read more

This is a terrible idea. It's short sighted, irresponsible and frankly, un-Canadian. Our country is know for it's beautiful and abundant natural life. We have a duty to protect it for the well being of ourselves and the generations to come.

I strongly oppose this new legislation, which not only dismantles essential protections for endangered wildlife and ecosystems, but also disregards the rights and sovereignty of Indigenous communities. This bill represents a profound failure of responsible governance. Read more

As a biologist working in environmental consulting, these proposed changes are alarming. This leaves me with a lot of unanswered questions. With the lack of permitting, will wildlife surveys still be required for projects? Or are you planning to take our jobs away now too? Read more

It is paramount to the biological integrity of our biodiverse province, and nation, that species at risk are protected. It is vital to conservation goals and to the prosperity of wildlife, that habitats are protected to its outmost ability, and not the opposite! Read more

This act is a bold faced attempt to circumvent the law rather than amend it. If there are exemptions to the Endangered Species Act on the basis of "whether or not it's a good move financially"; then what is the point of the act at all. Read more

This plan is an abomination. I hate it, like the Ford Government hates the environment. The rampant greed at the cost of our beautiful province, country, and planet is staggering and utterly horrifying. I will protest if this goes into effect Read more

It's very upsetting that projects that threaten animal habitats and species will no longer require environmental agencies approvals before commencing. What is the point of the Ontario curriculum? Read more

I do not support the passing of this bill because these endangered species play a key role in ecosystems and without healthy ecosystems we have nothing - including no economy. Read more
