Bill 5 is unnecessary and dangerous. It’s exploitation from the Ford government and not in the best interest of Ontarians. We need INNOVATION and SUSTAINABILITY. Not the same old arguments for fracking and mining. CLEAN ENERGY! I respect indigenous rights and the rights of future generations.
We cannot be cutting corners. Endangered species need to be protected. We also need to respect Indigenous lands and work with Indigenous people.

I oppose Bill 5. I want stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species. I oppose the government being able to add or remove from the list as they please. I oppose shortcuts or "speed-ups" for industry. I strongly oppose overriding the law in special economic zones.
Please do not further weaken the Endangered Species Act in the name of “simplifying things”. I do not agree with the framing that these protections are “taking” money from housing and other needed social services.

I understand that you want to expedite urbanization and expansion, but this is not the way to do it. Wildlife are an inconvenience for a few weeks at most; construction can be halted, and the animals can move on.

Totally opposed to anything that will further endanger any species of plant or animal in our province or allow for development of historical or indigenous sites to allow for development which is not essential; if anything we need more protections not less.

Please do not do this. I hope that we are able to recognize the consequences of ignoring scientists and experts and leaving decisions that require said expertise in the hands of government officials without the proper knowledge for the sake of profit.
