I do not support Bill 5 because it will destroy our natural capital. What good are houses and roads if we don’t have clean air, water and soil. We should be investing on our agriculture land to grow more food. This will lessen our need for US food. Nature provides us with flood control at no cost.

I oppose this bill because there are too many habitats and green spaces at risk from developers who bill out safety and containment to the lowest bidder. Then when they fail and cause irreparable damage, they close up and run, leaving the taxpayers to foot the bill for cleaning.

Development should not come at the cost of environmental protection. These planned changes do not account for an interconnected environment. Species habitats are more than their residences. Ford government do better.
