The identification of special economic zones in Ontario, the way it is described in Bill 5, is a far over-reaching of power. It is not clear where these zones may be implemented, for what reason, or how large they could be. I vehemently oppose these. Read more

The proposed changes will have devastating consequences on the environment and on biodiversity in Ontario. Habitat is more than just when an animal sleeps or where the roots of a plant grow. Feeding and mating grounds are also necessary for the survival of endangered species. Read more

I oppose Bill 5. I want more protections for species. I do not want industries to ever be permitted to violate the safety of nature and endangered species for the sake of their capitalist interests. I oppose Bill 5.

I am opposed to the sections of Bill 5 that remove or weaken protection of habitat and species. I fully support the current Endangered Species Act and do not want it repealed, nor modified to weaken protection of our species and the ecosystems that protect them. Read more

This is a terrible idea and it should not be passed. This bill will destroy any environmental protections that are currently in place. Our wildlife needs to be protected.This Bill does not protect Ontarians at all, only the people in power. I am greatly opposed to it.
