These ammendments to the ESA and proposed Species Conservation Act do not have conservation at the forefront. Doug Ford's government failed when the "pay to slay" legislation was passed and it turns out none of the money from these ammendments ever went to species conservation. Read more

Please reconsider the bill in its current form. The government should not be able to unilaterally decide whether a species is considered endangered. “Feeding” is not included in the activities that give rise to a habitat, and the proposed definition of habitat is too narrow. Read more

I have been an Ontario resident for my entire life. I strongly oppose Bill 5. I want stronger environmental protections in place in my province. Doug Ford should not be given any sort of opportunity to override government protections at his leisure. Shut this nonsense bill down immediately. Read more
