A decision was made to change the name of O. Reg. 240/00 (previously Mine Development and Closure Under Part VII of the Act) to include a reference to advanced exploration. The new name of the regulation is Advanced Exploration, Mine Development and Closure Under Part VII of the Act.

Changes have been made to the Planning Act, Municipal Act, 2001 and City of Toronto Act, 2006 providing municipalities with discretionary authority to delegate additional decisions to committees of council or municipal staff for minor amendments to zoning by-laws.
On January 28, 2022, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 39/22. The City of Richmond Hill requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.
On March 4, 2022, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 160/22. The Township of Cavan Monaghan requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.
On March 4, 2022, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act with the Registrar of Regulations as O. Reg. 159/22 to permit industrial, commercial and park uses on the subject lands. The City of Kingston requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.
The Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act, 2024, has amended the Development Charges Act, 1997 to: repeal the phase-in of development charges (DCs); reinstate studies as an eligible cost for DCs; reduce the DC freeze period; streamline the process for extending existing DC by-laws; and create a transition rule for the City of Ottawa.
On July 26, 2024, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister’s Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 304/24 in the City of Barrie. The Zoning Order was requested by the Minister of Long-Term Care to accelerate the development of a long-term care (LTC) facility.
On November 15, 2021, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 770/21. The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.
On April 14, 2022, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 345/22. The Minister of Infrastructure requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.
