Leave, the agricultural lands and assets alone. Housing should be built, in well built-up areas in nearby transit stations. Should be expanding the greenbelt instead of, cutting and shredding it! Lire davantage

This proposal seems extremely unreasonable and the numbers don't add up - developers will make out like bandits very clearly, and green space that is shared by everyone will become exclusive and overly expensive real estate. Lire davantage

You have all the evidence at your fingertips showing why this should not be done so I won’t sit here and rewrite it in another way for you to choose to ignore. Leave the Greenbelt alone and for once, think big picture about the environmental state of this province. Lire davantage

No. Just no. The Greenbelt is not only the last semi wild home for many animals and plants, but it is also so important against flooding and mitigating the effects of climate change. Yet Ford continues to only see it as dollar signs. Development should never happen here.

Do not touch the Greenbelt. Simple as that. Doing so does not meaningfully address the housing crisis, and it directly contradicts the statement made last year that the Greenbelt would not be touched. It’s very clear at this point that the current government has no problem lying. Lire davantage

This is a terrible idea. We have issues in this province with AFFORDABLE housing & rental units. Taking away more of our beautiful environment that is meant to be PROTECTED is shameful. Lire davantage

I am not in favour of this proposal. 1) The Greenbelt was set aside to protect fertile, natural, important lands including the moraine, which is responsible for clean local water, from development. We can not change the rules everytime some new government finds parts of the Greenbelt inconvenient. Lire davantage

What's the point of designating a protected Greenbelt if the government can just decide to develop over it? Developing this area is irreversible and should not undertaken so lightly especially when there are alternate solutions to housing supply concerns. Lire davantage

Although I am opposed to this, without much power I do hope that the infrastructure has been considered. Whites Road being the only exit from the 401, the traffic and congestion will be horrific. The schools are overcrowded already. Lire davantage
