I am appalled that Doug Ford is destroying our Greenbelt, particularly after campaigning on a promise to leave it alone. Thus is NOT the way forward. This destroys precious farmland, destroys wildlife habitat, destroys wetlands, and increases flood risk.

This is an atrocity and should absolutely not be allowed to happen. The amount of damage this will do to the ecosystems that stop the areas from flooding is astronomical. We don’t need low-density housing on the greenbelt, we need high density AFFORDABLE housing within the city.
Please stop destroying the entire province, Doug Ford. You may not be around much longer but future generations need these green spaces to be preserved. Climate change is real and the effects are already devastating. We need these trees to stay and don't need more subdivision sprawl for the rich.
I’m asking that no amendments are made to the greenbelt plan and that we look elsewhere. For instance, there are many buildings in downtown Toronto that can be repurposed for housing. Nature supports us, sustains us, and nurtures us.

I am very much against the steps that this Bill is proposing. Yes, we are in need of more housing, but not at the expense of the greenbelt. We are in need of affordable homes, not mansions that sprawl over half an acre and are only affordable for the rich.

With construction all over Ontario, wildlife has less and less places to go. I think that the wildlife and Ontarians deserve a beautiful place to be without being surrounded by condos and suburbs. Please rethink this.

Bill 23 is a blatant attack on our Greenbelt which strips environmental protections and makes it easier for developers to to build costly car-dependent sprawl.

The Greenbelt has been protected land for a reason. We need to maintain the conservation efforts of all the flora and Fauna in this entire region. Taking away protected lands is not the solution to the housing crisis in the greater Toronto area.
Allowing construction in the green belt would be an absolute travesty. We need to do better with the land we have already developed. There is no shortage of vacant land or industrial land that can be better utilized.

This is not a well- thought out plan; most unwise on so many levels not to mention misleading the electorate with bold face lies that continue to way down the pockets of the already “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” developer friends.

Passing this amendment would be a complete betrayal of the trust of Ontarians. Conservation authorities must retain their ability to use their expertise to prevent and guide development within increasingly high-risk areas.

Moving the boundaries does not make sense.
Replacing critical lands with not critical lands is nonsense.
Profit over critters does not get my vote.
This will not fix our housing crisis and only destroy more of our beautiful province. This proposal does not benefit the average Ontario citizen and we will see parks, that people destroyed in order to make way for already wealthy persons to gain more wealth.

The public is very aware that this decision is a hand out to the developers that funded your campaign. If professionals who are trained in the field of urban development were consultated, then this wouldn't be happening.

Do not build sprawling suburbs on green belt land. That will not address the affordable housing crisis, as these homes will not be affordable to most people. These areas are important for weathering the effects of climate change.
