The proposal is not good and was not thought through enough. For one there is 2 schools on hwy.21 in dresden that these 700 trucks are going to be going by everyday. There is no crossing guards there and only flashing lights so many motorists have almost hit kids crossing on the crosswalk.

The Sydenham is directly connected to the proposed dump site. From an environmental standpoint this cannot go through. I’m ashamed that there is even a thought of this. It’s 2024. Get your acts together
Buliding this dump on the doorsteps of Dresden Ontario is definitely a disrespect to the community and environment. Molly's Creek which is situated next to all of this runs into the river, which is home to an abundance of endangered animals (softshell turtles, woodducks, etc).

Regarding the proposed expanded landfill near the town of Dresden:
These comments will be similar to ones you receive from others in this community because we are all in agreement that the proposed landfill is too large and too close to our town.

I own a farm just north of the proposed expansion. My family have owned this farm since 1876. Earning income from this farm is my retirement, my legacy and it is my hope to pass it to my daughter. Nothing in this proposed expansion will make Dresden a better community or a better place to farm.

This proposal in an area that relies on land to grow a good portion of the food will have a detrimental environmental impact on not only the surrounding areas but possibly the province. Now, in nearby wells methane gas has been found in wells.

Concerning the proposed use of the property at 29831 Irish School Road. My feelings are that this is not a good fit for this area taking into account the close proximity to the residents near the site with water quality, the fact that also of a creek that drains into the Sydenham river.

The existing waste disposal site at 29831 Irish School Road, is currently designated as a waste wood disposal area, whereas this proposal would augment both the size and scope of the facility.

I am fourth generation living on the Sydenham water shed ! We hunt fish and eat our catch , my family enjoys boating and general recreation , I raise my children and grand children to respect our water at all costs ! Please for the sake of future generations! Do not allow this to take place !
This proposed landfill site will be just 1km outside of Dresden will have a major impact on this sought after beautiful farming community of Dresden.

We have a lot of concerns regarding this dump proposal. Mainly the water, air, noise, health, and traffic pollution it will bring to our community and residents. It is too close to town and waterways. Please stop this proposal.
I do not believe that this site should become a landfill. I find it difficult to believe this location so close to Molly's creek draining so close to the Sydenham river.

As a teacher as the local elementary school in Dresden, I hope serious consideration by York1 will be put into creating an alternate truck access route to the Landfill that does not involve coming up North Street in front of both schools.
