I just learned of this proposal today and am beyond belief that a Canadian let alone an Ontario government would do anything so shortsighted to our environment. It is one thing to ignore the environment. It's a far different thing to deliberately set out to worsen it. Lire davantage

I grew up by Lake Ontario as a child. I remember there being summers where we weren’t able to go swimming everyday and seeing dead fish and marine life float up to the top of the water due to pollution. Lire davantage

Having lived in Toronto for 30 years, I have watched efforts to upgrade a struggling and ageing sewer system to avoid discharging raw sewage into the lake. With climate change, heavier rainfall is already taxing the sewer system and leading to flooding events in low lying areas. Lire davantage

I have lived all my 63 years in Toronto. The whole goal of sewage and storm drains has been to build and invest in infrastructure to minimize or totally avoid any pollution entering our beautiful Lake and downstream St Lawrence River. Lire davantage
