Please don't do this! We need to protect our habitat or everything else won't matter. Please don't prioritize subdivisions and highways over green space and animals. Residents of Ontario do not want these changes that removes safety measures for the planet that is already so vulnerable. Lire davantage

Dear Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, I am writing to express my strong opposition to Bill 5, the Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act, 2025, and its proposed repeal of Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA). Lire davantage

Please reconsider this, we will lose much more wildlife than we already have. If Doug Ford goes ahead with this bill without the proper environment considerations, it will be disastrous for the flora and fauna of our province.

This Bill aims to speed up the process for "improving" economic growth, without considering the detrimental effect of fast tracking development of protected land. Birds, and most animals, are very much creatures of habit, and their habitat is already shrinking without human interference. Lire davantage

Housing crisis can be solved through other approaches that do not directly affect our beautiful natural landscapes and wildlife. Urban sprawl must be done with the consideration for our native flora and fauna. Lire davantage

Any proposition to change the endangered act should be in support of conservation NOT the opposite! Boo!

I would like to see the postings of the environmental scientists reports on why this needs to be done? How will it further protect wildlife? How will these changes undermine our ability to protect them? Until you answer these questions, this proposal does NOT have my support.

I oppose Bill 5 and this government’s lack of communication of its plan to the public. This change does not support the environment and is another attempt to sell off the environment. Lire davantage

This is not a good idea. Building houses and infrastructure without taking the time to understand the environment it is being built on results in cataclysmic environmental events, failing infrastructure because it’s working against the environment and not with it. Lire davantage

As Canadians, we have and always should do all we can to protect our environment. Yes, we need land to build housing, but we must put the environment and the animals who live in our green spaces as a top priority. Lire davantage

Premier Ford, STOP SELLING ONTARIO DOWN THE RIVER. This bill will FOREVER DESTROY so much of what makes Ontario beautiful. It is a threat to the protection of our environment and wildlife. The people of Ontario DESERVE BETTER than short-sighted crony politics! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Lire davantage

As an Indigenous person, I am totally disgusted with the continuing disregard the Government has for Treaty rights and the right we all have to clean water, air and land! Lire davantage
