The revision to this act just looks like the advantage goes to the developers. I understand reducing red tape and simplifying but it cannot always be at the expense of nature. Where are the benefits to the endangered species? Once it's gone it's gone. Lire davantage

I urge your government to cancel Bill 5 and plans to scrap the Endangered Species Act or implement “regulation-free zones” for resource extraction. If anything, Premier Ford should strengthen endangered species protection so wildlife can flourish and communities can benefit from conservation. Lire davantage

This bill does not seem to have enough input from wildlife and biological scientists and certainly won’t protect our habitats and ecosystems. Lire davantage

As a resident of Ontario deeply committed to environmental conservation, I am writing to express my concerns regarding the proposed interim changes to the Endangered Species Act, 2007, and the introduction of the Species Conservation Act, 2025. Lire davantage

i don’t agree with this bill and think it would harm endangered species, not help them if the government were to be the deciding body of what is and isn’t endangered.

Just no! I cannot believe this is where we’re at. Plants and animals were here long before us — human greed has no right to overtake their land. Please reconsider the consequences of these proposed actions.

I disagree with this proposal. It is vital to protect the limited natural habitats that we have left. A temporary housing shortage is not an acceptable reason to do permanent damage that will hurt all of us in the long run. Lire davantage

I am deeply concerned that this piece of legislation will cause extensive and irreparable harm to Ontario's endangered species and their habitats. As the stewards of this province, we have a duty to protect those species who are at risk (usually of our own making). Lire davantage

The proposed changes to weaken the Endangered Species Act (ESA) threaten the long-term health of ecosystems, prioritizing short-term economic interests over lasting environmental sustainability. Lire davantage

The proposed Bill 5 is a threat not only to the beautiful province of Ontario and its nature, but also to the health and welfare of its citizens. Please do not pass Bill 5. Lire davantage

This is unacceptable and a step backwards. This bill cannot be passed for the sake of the earth and future. Leave our protected lands alone. WE ARE AGAINST BILL 5

hi, it has been brought to my intention that the Ford administration is trying to empliment this bill that would fast track the building of mines and highways without the proper environmental studies. Lire davantage

I am writing as a deeply concerned resident of Toronto to express my strong opposition to Bill 5, the "Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act." The manner in which this bill was introduced—without adequate public consultation—raises serious concerns about transparency and democratic process. Lire davantage

I am writing to express my concern about the impacts that these changes could have on our already fragile ecosystems. Canada needs more protection for its natural features and wildlife, NOT less. We do NOT need a more disastrous climate. Lire davantage

These proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act are a terrible idea and will have direct impacts on the wellbeing of species in Ontario. Without strong legislation species, especially those at risk, slip through the cracks and are harmed by development plans. Lire davantage

This Bill isn’t good for climate change and the risk down the food change. There are other ways to have landfills safely. The long term effects are not worth the risk. “I oppose this proposal.” Lire davantage

The government in Canada is supposed to protect its citizens and the earth we live on here in Canada. Pushing through Bill 5 is in direct contradiction to the above. Doug Ford is selling Ontario to the highest bidder and the citizens feel powerless to stop him. Lire davantage
