I want to address why refusing to build safe bicycle lanes is not simply a policy choice — it raises real legal, safety, and equity concerns for our city. Lire davantage

I do not support this bill. I am concerned for cyclist safety and provincial government overreach into municipal affairs. I do not believe that this bill will have positive environmental impacts as claimed through reducing congestion. Lire davantage

Remove the bike lanes on major streets that have public transportations. Make residential streets one way and add all the bike lanes there. Safe for bikers. Safe for drivers. Most importantly emergency vehicles will be able to travel. Lire davantage

I believe all urban municipalities should have control over their roads and bike lanes. They are in the best position to decide what street infrastructure will best serve their population and facilitate traffic flow. The province should not interfere with local planning decisions. Lire davantage

This bill is horrible and will not help traffic at all. This should not pass.

Bill 60 reeks of overreach by Doug Ford's provincial government. It's oppressive and diminishes the power of voters on a municipal level. If Doug Ford wishes to continue to dabble in municipal politics, then he should have stayed as a councilor with the City of Toronto. Lire davantage

Please keep bike lanes available. It's safer for me and family. Drivers will adjust - just as they did when seatbelt legislation first came in. Please please please keep bike lanes available. Thank you. Lire davantage

Limiting bike lanes put people at increased risk of harm and death, which engages the right to life and security of the person. The Conservative government does not care about the environment or welfare of the population Lire davantage

Bike lanes save lives. There is very little evidence that removing bike lanes will improve car traffic in the long run. As our city grows, we will always reach a kind of maximum homeostasis with regard to traffic congestion. Lire davantage

No. This is a move in the wrong direction. Wrong direction for human health, for population health, for community health.

Car centric travel is not sustainable, and it’s not the way forward. If there is any hope of addressing the insane traffic in Toronto, and across the entire province, it’s not by policies such as the proposed where car lanes take precedence over all types of surface transport. Lire davantage
