To whom it may concern, reducing bike lanes makes roads more dangerous for cyclists and other vulnerable road users, and evidence suggests it could worsen, not improve, traffic flow. Lire davantage

I would like to let you know that I oppose Bill 60 with regards to cycling infrastructure. Cities and communities should be able to decide where they install cycling infrastructure and bike lanes. NOT the province. Huge overreach in powers and jurisdiction. Lire davantage

Ontario By Bike, the recognized sector association that develops and promotes cycle tourism across Ontario - a part of the tourism economy that contribute $532 million to the economy annually - strongly opposes Bill 60 and the impacts it is having on regional and municipal cycling infrastructure. Hello, I'm writing to strongly object to the removal of bike lanes in Toronto. As a cyclist, I'm opposed to this as it will increase the risk to all cyclists. As a driver, I'm opposed to this since removing bike lanes will not improve traffic flow. Lire davantage

Hello, I'm strongly object to the removal of bike lanes in Toronto. It will increase the risk to all cyclists without improving traffic flow. Furthermore, I'm offended by the waste of tax-payer dollars and by the undemocratic nature of the bill. S.J. Toronto Lire davantage

This bill will worsen traffic congestion, not reduce it. The government’s own experts have consistently said that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock. It will make roads more dangerous. Protected bike lanes prevent serious injuries and deaths for people biking, walking, and driving. Lire davantage

Bill 60 is an omnibus bill that gets an encouraging title to conceal its true content. Specifically as it relates to usurping the power of municipalities to regulate its roads, it is a blatant power grab by the province. Lire davantage

There is no data supporting the Province's restrictions on bike lanes - and a mountain of data supporting bike lanes as part of congestion, environmental, community and health solutions. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose this idea, as it once again prioritizes motor vehicles at the expense of developing safe cycling infrastructure. This is a narrow-minded approach that will not solve congestion issues. There are many other measures that could effectively reduce gridlock. Lire davantage

This bill is a terrible idea and actually counterintuitive. If you want less traffic than you need more biking infrastructure, more and better public transportation so that less people will need the use of cars, hence leading to less cars on the road. Lire davantage

I oppose this bill. Bike lanes cause no emissions at all. With additional CONTINUOUS bike lanes, more people can travel to their destinations safely and no environmental impact. Lire davantage

We will NOT end gridlock by privileging gas guzzlers over everything else, but by giving people convenient, inexpensive alternatives to private vehicles (such as public transit and bicycles) to get them out of their cars and reduce the number of cars on the streets.

It’s got to the point now that we can assume the effect of this government’s legislation is the direct opposite of the title they give to it. This will not “fight”delays. Instead, it will increase them. Lire davantage

Bill 60 is a terrible way to show Ontario is "open for business." You should be reducing car traffic to stop climate change before our entire civilization is threatened. As it is, my neighbours and I are suffering from wildfire smoke, flooding, and dangerous heat every year. Lire davantage
