The economic and viability case for these MZOs and this project has collapsed. The condominium market has both collapsed and shifted, with the market no longer supporting high rise projects dominated by studios and one-bedroom units, which is the configuration this TOC proposes. Lire davantage

We oppose the MZO’s for the Oakville TOC. The Provincial Government needs to stop ignoring the planning of the local Oakville council and our citizens wishes and concerns. We feel like we are all being bullied into a plan that is not right for our community. Lire davantage

I agree the lands around the Oakville GO station should be developed. However, I question the decision for such a large development in a small area. There is minimal green space for parks and use for families. The open spaces are designated”private open” spaces, what does this mean? Lire davantage

I disagree with the use of MZOs to push through a totally unacceptable high density development on the Oakville TOC lands. Democracy is still the basis for our society and MZOs (giving Developers the final say on height, density etc) is not a democratic process. Lire davantage

I don’t support the mega density plan that is proposed for Oakville. Our local government has been recognized for the number of new housing starts. The proposed plan would cause chaos to our infrastructure. Lire davantage

While I agree that the area needs to be thoughtfully developed, I disagree with the proposed building heights …. Anything above 30 stories is completely out of place when compared to the current infrastructure in Oakville.
