Some density is fine but this proposal squashes too many people in to the area proposed. Have you seen how busy the roads are already? Gridlock will be the result of poor, over-greedy planning. Lire davantage

These MZOs would force extreme and reckless density on Midtown, more than double that of any comparable development in the GTA, without the infrastructure to support it; creating chaos and overwhelming transportation and services that are already overstressed, including local roads, transit, the GO Lire davantage

The economic and viability case for these MZOs and this project has collapsed. The condominium market has both collapsed and shifted, with the market no longer supporting high rise projects dominated by studios and one-bedroom units, which is the configuration this TOC proposes. Lire davantage

This proposal should NEVER go ahead. The City of Oakville does not need the Province’s input to plan a reasonable and sustainable housing community. Oakville was not awarded the title of Best City in Canada to Live, a couple of years ago, because it was poorly planned in the past. Lire davantage

We are against mega-density housing in south oakville near the Oakville GO station. We don't have the infrastructure and I don't want it either. We have way too much traffic on Trafalgar and Cornwall and collisons without more housing. Please help to stop this.

I've lived in Oakville for 40 years and too often I've seen poorly planned developments in the GTA choke communities through unmanagable density creation. Lire davantage

Oakville does not need a transit oriented community as there is no room for it near the GO stations and no demand for it. Lire davantage

Oakville Town Council is best placed to determine sustainable development for this area. The proposed MZO is insulting to local residents. No effort was made to meaningfully consult with all stakeholders. The MZO proposes development that does not align with what young home buyers are looking for. Lire davantage

I do not believe that this proposal is in keeping with what the Government of Ontario should be trying to accomplish. The proposal is adding ultra high density to an area that does not have the infrastructure to support such density. Lire davantage
