This project would overwhelm the area and create traffic chaos. It doesn’t make sense to impose a project against the will of the community that will severely negatively impact the quality of life for town residents.
With a condo market bottoming out, building more condos to take up space is not a good fit for Oakville. We already have one condo project started that went bankrupt and is now just an empty lot with a fence around it.

My wife and I have lived in Oakville since 1987. We are impressed in the manner in which the Town has grown such that it maintained its community appeal while experiencing significant population increases.

I don't know why such a mega density project is being considered for a pretty small parcel of land. As i will probably be considering downsizing in the next 10 years the project as proposed would have zero interest as a possible new home.

The proposed TOC for Midtown in Oakville is ridiculous. One has only to look at existing traffic snarls to see that increasing the density to the proposed level is completely untenable.

Please approve the Town of Oakville’s Official Plan Amendment for Midtown (OPA 70). It was developed transparently with public input and Council approval. I will not vote for a party that goes forward with a seriously flawed product.

Have we learned anything from the chaos in the Liberty village highrise hell? Oakville opposes the TOC because:
The MZOs would force the same extreme and reckless density on Midtown Oakville.
There is not enough below-market, supportive, family-sized or subsidized housing.
