OPA70 is a better plan. I do not support mega density in Oakville Ont. And I have lived here for 32 years!

This Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Lire davantage

These MZOs would force extreme and reckless density on Midtown, more than double that of any comparable development in the GTA, without the infrastructure to support it; creating chaos and overwhelming transportation and services that are already overstressed, including local roads, transit, the GO Lire davantage

The economic and viability case for these MZOs and this project has collapsed. The condominium market has both collapsed and shifted, with the market no longer supporting high rise projects dominated by studios and one-bedroom units which is the configuration this TOC proposes. Lire davantage

The proposed Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) for Midtown Oakville blatantly fail to meet the Ontario government’s own post criteria for issuing MZOs. Lire davantage

These MZOs are unwarranted and not needed. They are a throwback to regimes where centralized Government planning, by generally anti democratic Governments, forced bad decisions made in secret down the throat of a hapless population. Lire davantage

Hello, I have lived in Oakville for over 35 years. During this time our city has grown immensly. The growth has been planned and maintained a somewhat balanced ratio between services, traffic flow and accessbility and liveability. Lire davantage

Hello. I've been an Oakville resident since 2008. In the last 17 years I've watched as numerous residential developments have been pushed through everywhere within Oakville's boundaries. Lire davantage

I am a resident of the Town of Oakville. I am extremely concerned regarding the future impact of the proposed (MZO) for the TOC in the Town of Oakville. The present TOC proposal emphasizes Mega-Density not seen in any global community housing development project. Lire davantage

As a long time resident of Oakville and a business owner in Ontario it is very surprising to see the lack of common sense happening with the currently proposed Oakville Go station TOC project. Lire davantage

I find this MZO proposal completely contrary to the needs of the the area and of the community of Oakville. The Province should not make this horrible mistake by going forward with a bad product produced by a seriously flawed process. I vote NO for these MZOs. Please reconsider this action. Lire davantage

Yes, we need housing density near the GO Train in Oakville. Use the province's power to make the density compatible with the zoning zoning by laws of the town, which are broadly supported by its residents and its municipal government. This is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME TO GET IT RIGHT. Lire davantage

I am outraged at the provinces plans for the Oakville midtown. The plan totally disregards the interests and careful planning that the town, working with citizens, did to design a liveable, workable plan to develop the area. Lire davantage

As you may be aware, these proposed MZOs have generated considerable consternation in Oakville among town officials and citizens alike. I live in Ward 3, which is the focus of these proposals. Lire davantage
