The proposed Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) for Midtown Oakville blatantly fail to meet the Ontario government’s own post criteria for issuing MZOs. Lire davantage

Mega-Density. Been a resident of Oakville all my life and I believe in growing our city but this makes zero sense. Lire davantage

These MZOs would force extreme and reckless density on Midtown, more than double that of any comparable development in the GTA, without the infrastructure to support it; creating chaos and overwhelming transportation and services that are already overstressed, including local roads, transit, the GO Lire davantage

Please listen to the town of Oakville regarding midtown and not force unrealistic unsustainable plans on Oakville. There arn’t been a lot of talk regarding Lake Ontario but all the development will have a p impact on the lake without already a ridiculous amount of development on its shore.

We have lived in Oakville for 30 plus years and raised a family and worked locally. In reviewing your proposal to implement a density level way beyond our cities norm I can not help but be feel that this will change the very structure and livability of our community. Lire davantage

I live near Oakville Place mall and this proposal will have a direct impact on my family's quality of life - from noise pollution, to overcrowding, congestion and a massive change to life in general in our area. Lire davantage

MZOs were intended to be rare and exceptional — used only where there is clear urgency, municipal support, and a strong public interest. That is not the case here. Lire davantage

These MZOs represent a profound override of local democracy despite Oakville’s full compliance with provincial policies and proven track record of growth and housing development. Lire davantage

This Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Lire davantage

The economic and viability case for these MZOs and this project has collapsed. The condominium market has both collapsed and shifted, with the market no longer supporting high rise projects dominated by studios and one-bedroom units, which is the configuration this TOC proposes. Lire davantage

We don’t ministry to get involved in Oakville housing decisions. We already had too much population for Oakville it S like Toronto downtown.

I say NO. This proposed Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) for Midtown Oakville, fail to meet Ontario’s own criteria for issuing MZOs and is clearly upsetting the entire Oakville community. Lire davantage
