Philosophical statements about building a better cycling infrastructure in Ontario only go so far. Such statements have to bepartnered with funding. There are many benefits to growing the use of cycling for transportation and recreation but none is as important as is health promotion.

We have traveled from lake Simcoe to Kingston, following the canal and stopping at each of the locks. We thought it was a brilliant cycling trip and we enjoyed a few quiet roads but no safe road. The traffic is rapid and somewhat aggressive in the Muskokas and r

B!KE str to advance Ontario's Cycling Strategy with Action Plan 2.0. Our organization is highly supportive of the action items identified for inclusion in Action Plan 2.0 and will work to advance our communities participation in several key areas.
To make better use of the cycling infrastructure year round, I propose that covered bikeways are built in larger cities to major destinations to promote four season cycling and continued use even in inclement weather.
My apologies, I sent my previous comment in prematurely. There was a typo in my opening sentences and I had not finished addressing the question from the ministries "Are there other important actions that Ontario should take in the next 5 years to help us meet our goals for cycling?".
The single most important thing to do is build infrastructure for cycling - and active transportation more generally - to make our streets safer for everyone.
I support this initiative. Many communities are built around provincial highways so there is no chance of them becoming cycling friendly unless the provincial government is on board with making its highways cycling friendly.
