Without a plan to replace the system in place, I cannot support this proposal. Please introduce a plan to reduce our emissions before repealing cap and trade. As a government for the people, you should be looking to curb our emissions for all future generations.

This is my number 1 issue for provincial elections. At a time when the effects of climate change are clear, I am very upset that my provincial government is taking steps backwards on climate change. Lire davantage

I am incredibly disappointed in this government’s decision to cancel this program without having an alternate program already in place. Ontario has now become one of the places not doing its’ part to battle climate change. Lire davantage

I do not support the cancellation of the Cap and Trade program in Ontario. Cap and trade programs are effective at controlling carbon emissions and incentivize investment in environmental initiatives. Lire davantage

I amnot in favour of Bill 4, which will cancel the cap and trade act. I want the Ontario government to develop a real climate plan to redu ce emissions, help people save money by saving energy, and create jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy. Lire davantage

The #1 thing that businesses look for from government is consistency and predictability. Moving at the pace that the Doug Ford government is moving on policy issues that are pet projects or are the interests of his close associates is counter-productive for the Ontario economy. Lire davantage

I am against the present government's legislation to scrap cap and trade and cancel programs financed through its revenues, which include rebates for energy-efficient renovations, transit projects and a fund for school repairs. Lire davantage

This act encourages companies to pursue environmentally friendly innovations, and cancelling it demonstrates the current government isn’t concerned with preventing climate change, which should be one of their top priorities!

Repealing the ccmlea act is irresponsible. Please reconsider this action. Scientists around the world are ringing the alarm bells about climate change and the drastic measures we all have to take to save this planet.

Science has made it abundantly clear that ignoring climate change will become more and more expensive for the global human community (of which Ontario is a part). Economists consider pricing carbon pollution as the most cost-effective way to reduce emissions. If Mr. Lire davantage

The best market-based way to reduce greenhouse gases is a price on carbon, either a direct tax or a cap-and-trade system. In both cases, the government can return the income it earns to the people, so it is not a “tax grab”. Lire davantage

Cancelling cap and Trade without a better plan is the most ridiculous and ignorant idea ever. Clearly, this government does not care about the people or the environment.

Nobel-prize-winning economists have shown that the most effective way to reduce fossil fuel emissions is by putting a price on carbon. The proposal to axe our current methods to address greenhouse gas production wastes precious time, time that is fast running out to save our planet. Lire davantage

I am hoping that the current Ontario government can commit to reducing Ontario's carbon emmissions. All of the most respected experts and media outlets have called for significant action. Scrapping cap and trade is the exact opposite of what world experts are calling for. Lire davantage
