How many more deaths of cyclist caused by drivers in vehicles do we need to see? In fact, removing them can lead to more deadly incidents, increase more cars on the road thus increasing the burden on emergency services and potentially leading to more traffic disruptions. Lire davantage

It is beyond ridiculous that you would spend money to tear out already established bike lanes. Stop wasting money. Bike lanes protect cyclists and encourage people to choose a more earth-friendly mode of transport. I drive everyday and I don't want to see bike lanes removed. Lire davantage

Hello. As a torontonian local who does not own a bike, I grew up along bloor st and never had bike lanes growing up. This has made a massive difference by improving my safety and ability to commute by bicycle in a quick and safe manner. Lire davantage

remove all bike lanes from Yonge St. They sloooooow down traffic terribly, are very difficult to keep clear of nature's white stuff which can be present for more than half of the year. This city is NOT a candidate for bike lanes due to its weather. Remove all now.

I fail to see how the responsibility of bike lanes falls on the provincial government. You're telling me that municipalities don't have the ability to audit they own traffic and decide what's best for the city? Who does city planning, the city or the province? Lire davantage

I am commenting in strong opposition to Bill 212. As a resident of Toronto who relies on cycling as my main mode of transportation, I am horrified by this provincial overreach. Lire davantage

I've taken a ln interest in bike infrastructure this year an didn't realize how far behind Canada was compared to some other countries. I understand Canada is a big place with neighboring cities being a few hours away, vehicles are very important to our lives and the economy. Lire davantage

What a waste of government and public funds. Please allocate them elsewhere that would actually benefit the public . Like improving on our public transportation systems, which depending on where you live are abhorrent. Lire davantage

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the provincial encroachment on local decision-making related to bike lanes. As a 100% driver who does not bike, I still recognize the importance of maintaining and expanding bike lane infrastructure for the benefit of our communities. Lire davantage

I have lived in Toronto for 11 years and cycle every single day. I work at Toronto General Hospital and the introduction of the bike lanes on University has made my ride so much safer. Lire davantage

I do not support any bills that remove, restrict or impede cleaner ways of transportation. Any bill that infringes on the environment is a non starter in terms of how I want my government to allocate funds and resources.

I see no reason this needs to exist. I am unable to see how this would benefit Ontario Residents positively in any meaningful way. The stated reasoning for this proposal is exaggerated and defies common sense, and the reality of municipal infrastructure. Lire davantage

This is terrible legislation on multiple levels. First, it is an absurd overreach of provincial power. Why is the province wasting its time and resources micro managing municipalities? Second, ripping out existing bike lines is just a stupid waste of money. Lire davantage
