A national historic site and area should NEVER be touched. It's a HISTORIC SITE that should remain as one. This is clearly a plot to transfer to the town, then to allow it to be converted into shops and stores. Disgusting. Keep our shorelines clean and clear of business filth

The Longest Freshwater Beach in the World deserves better than it has been getting over the past 40 decades in Wasaga Beach. Our provincial park picnic areas including parking areas have been neglected. Lire davantage

I am strongly disagreeing with this as a resident. Beaches need to remain public. If under the council. This Greenspace will be bulldozed and condos built Lire davantage

I support the development of tourism in the Town of Wasaga Beach, but it is unclear why the province would need to transfer beach area 1 and 2 to do so. These are exceptionally popular day use parks that regularly sell out of day passes. Lire davantage

I have lived full time in Allenwood Beach since 1983, and have always believed that area belonged to the Provincial Park and was open to all of Ontario residents to use. I do not want to see any of the Provincial Park beach areas transferred to the Town of Wasaga Beach. Lire davantage

As a resident of Wasaga Beach, I strongly oppose the proposal to remove parts of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park from provincial protection and transfer or sell them to the Town. This plan puts our cherished public beach at serious risk of being lost to private developers — forever. Lire davantage

If the people of Wasaga Beach are still able to enjoy our beautiful beaches ( beach area one and beach area two as well as Nancy Island) , and the tourism becomes stronger than I say all the power to you! Lire davantage

Keep the parks and beach under Provincial ownership for the enjoyment and accessibility for everyone . The Town of Wasaga Beach will eventually develop and ruin the green space and shore line. Decisions will be made that destroy or pollute the beaches. Lire davantage

I object to Beach 1 and 2 being controlled by the Town of Wasaga Beach. Currently these areas our provincial properties and as such available for all to use. Lire davantage

To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the proposed legislative amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006 and the Historical Parks Act intended to support the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal. Lire davantage

Wasaga Beach Area 1, with its proximity and relationship to the overall Downtown revitalization and development plans (which cannot be stopped), makes sense for a portion to be run by the City. This could apply to Nancy Island as well. The buck should stop there. Lire davantage

I think Wasaga beach should remain a part of the provincial park. Especially beach area 1!!! It is home to piping plovers, a species that VANISHED from Ontario for DECADES, and they only nest on the edge of beach area 1 near the mouth of the nottawasaga. Lire davantage
