Transfering these beach areas to the town will be the first step in losing access to the beach and water as we know it. Lire davantage

Is there a possibility of privatizing the potential Wasaga Beach town owned beach areas? If so, I would say this is not a good move. All beach areas should still be made for public access.

Please stop destroying our beaches. There is going to be nothing left for families to enjoy. Wasaga beach is coming to an end. We come up there every weekend (weather permitting) and enjoy the beach, especially Area 1. Why are you destroying it. Lire davantage

Please keep the beach provincial, do not let the Town of Wasaga Beach own it; they will sell it off and build private condos, forever ruining our beloved beach.

Under Provincial Parks management, it is 21 dollars to park at beach 1 or 2. A parks pass can also be used. I would hope that these costs would remain the same and a new pass would be available. Or honour the ontario parks pass. Lire davantage

This is our home beach. We’ve been a resident on Allenwood for 6 years and this shoreline and Provincial Park is one of the most beautiful along the 14km stretch. It’s also home to many protected native plant and bird species. Lire davantage

The town of 25,000 residents cannot afford to manage acres of beach… the province has done a lousy job in recent years and the cost to upgrade the necessary infrastructure would cripple the town: Lire davantage

Please leave the land alone as is, stop selling everything off. The Canadian taxpayers have enough restrictions and loss of land to private entities.

In my opinion this proposed legislation change should not proceed. The beauty of the existing area will be forever changed with new housing. Wasaga Beach has plenty of real estate properties for building new homes. Some that have been started and some yet to come. Lire davantage

I am vehemently opposed to this proposal. Nancy Island HIstorical site and the beaches must remain under the Historical Parks Act as a Provincial Park. It is an important part of Ontario and Canadian history and critical habitat to endangered species. Lire davantage

I agree with this proposal. The Government has not been properly looking after these venues and it gives the town the right to make necessary changes.

I'm a concerned citizen and regular visitor to Wasaga Beach. I was alarmed to hear about the plan to transfer 1.5 km of critical Piping Plover habitat—from Spruce Street to the river—from Parks to the municipality. Lire davantage

I support the development of Wasaga Beach and the transfer of lands and responsibility to the town. I do not support $25 million on Nancy Island. A hotel is bring built for $45 million, so in what world should it take $25 million to refurbish This attraction. Lire davantage
