I totally disagree with bill 5, both at the provincial and federal level. What the Ford government is proposing for Wasaga Beach is unacceptable. This disgusting development proposal will only benefit his developer friends again. Enough is enough!

Please don't wreck Wasaga. Develop some of the millions of acres in northern Ontario. They need the development and tourism. Our provincial parks bring in revenue. Leave the parks alone please. Lire davantage

Selling out public land for private profit never ends up benefitting the taxpayers. We should keep Wasaga Beach to be enjoyed as a public provincial park--this protects irreplaceable animal territory and land, which will not be prioritized if it is sold to private holdings.

It’s not going to matter how beautiful development places are if there is no wildlife to enjoy. Instead if piecing off parts of provincial parks to Fords buddies to make millions of dollars, why not cleave off parts of farmland or other forests for development using eminent domain. Lire davantage

This is grotesque and should not be allowed. We need to protect our parks.

STOP SELLING LAND! You are killing endangered plants and animals! Once they're gone they're gone forever. Wasaga does not need more development. It needs to remain as natural as possible. This government won't be happy until every greenspace, every farm land, everything is developed on! Lire davantage

I am against this bill, the conservation of our land is very important to life of all forms. That beach area has been a wonderful staple to the community for years. Ford needs to leave it alone and take him money hunger elsewhere. Some things in life need to be preserved, this is one of them!!

Do not remove Nancy Island from the provincial park! Doing so is extremely short-sighted and feels corrupt given Doug Ford’s deep ties with developers. Our provincial parks are not for sale. We must protect our provincial parks and the critical habitat and wildlife they contain.

Your proposed changes to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act would not only jeopardize the Piping Plovers at Wasaga Beach but would open the door to privatizing all Ontario parks. Lire davantage

This beach is not just for humans, it is a thriving ecosystem that requires our stewardship and protection. The only reason to transfer it out of a provincial park is for someone else to profit, when it is currently benefitting us all. Lire davantage

Please do not put this bill through. This land should remain protected for the species that call it home. We need to protect our provincial parks and conservation areas for the generations to come!

Wasaga Beach Provincial Park has been chronically underfunded over the years. This has given the Town of Wasaga Beach ammunition to persuade the Government to hand over these proposed sections of beach and adjacent parking lots in what has all the appearance of a land grab of prime real estate. I am adamantly imposed to selling any part of Wasaga Beach for development. It is one of a kind, unique and ecologically important location and must be preserved as it is.

As a resident of Wasaga Beach and someone who has lived in this area my entire life, I am deeply concerned that due to this government’s recent actions concerning Bill 5, that these proposed changes to Wasaga Beach Provincial Park lands will have negative and potentially devastating impacts on our p Lire davantage
