Our provincial park land needs to be kept in the hands of the provincial park system. Once the land is sold, it is no longer available to the citizens of Ontario to access. Once sold and developed, it is no longer available to everyone. This can not be reversed. Lire davantage

Provincial parks don’t belong to developers. Leave the lands alone and work on improving the lives of Ontarians

I have no problem with Nancy Island being transferred to Tourism. I do not want to see Beach Areas 1, 2, New Wasaga and Allenwood Beach being “given” to The Town of Wasaga Beach. Lire davantage

I do not approve of this. Endangering habitat of an already impacted species and ruining the location for those that already enjoy the place is a terrible idea. Don't. Find somewhere else and stop spending money expanding things when it could be spent improving areas that need improvement.

After reading the proposal to remove Nancy Island and some of Wasaga’s beaches from the protection of the provincial parks and conservation reserves, I’m concerned about the impacts to the endangered piping plover’s nesting grounds. Lire davantage

Provincial parks are not for sale, many species like the Piping Plover rely on these beaches to survive. Tourism marketing for Wasaga Beach is not worth further habitat damage and species extinction. I urge careful consideration of these special habitats when discussing future plans for this land. Lire davantage

As a resident of Ontario, I have seen this government disregard the need to protect endangered species, disregard the rights if Indigenous and now they ALSO are wanting to develop part of our few Provincial Parks? NO, I do not support this change. Lire davantage

The Beach is a provincial park, open to every single resident or visitor. If town takes over, they will control who can go on the beach. With this current council it will be made private (only condo owners & hotel guests) & not even town residents will be permitted to access it. That is my fear. Lire davantage

Some things are more important than money - protecting provincial park land is your DUTY for future generations of Canadians. We can’t pave over everything and destroy what is public lands to fill our coffers. Beyond destroying public lands you are contributing to our global climate crisis. Lire davantage

It’s reprehensible and shameful for any government to suggest selling off protected lands.

I do not support the selling of wasaga beach. We live on indigenous land. The complete lack of regard for environmental conservation and recognition of stolen land is appalling.

Stop building on Wasaga Beach. It might be prime land for your cronies but it's our Beach to enjoy. Waterfront land should be accessible by every Ontarian.

I am a resident of Ontario. Too many time Ford has tried to sell off spaces of Ontario for profit. This is NOT okay. I demand that Ford stops this nonsense and step down. He is not a good premier, never was and never will be if he keeps doing stuff like this. Lire davantage

Provincial Park Status seems to provide the best protection for this environmentally fragile area with regard to a threatened species still in recovery, the Piping Plover. Lire davantage

Provincial parks are essential for the protection of the environment, as well as being incredibly beneficial for humal psyche. These parks need to stay public use places. Any potential developments aren’t worth the risk to environmental and physical health and safety.

I support the move to make Nancy Island part of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming. This historic site makes a valuable contribution to the historical education of the public and deserves to be supported, maintained and developed.

NOOOO stop selling off protected green spaces to developers! Do something about all the condos sitting empty instead. Please don’t sell off parts of Wasaga Beach.

I am concerned that this development will negatively impact the health of the lake, reducing natural species, increasing costs for keeping drinking water safe thereby having the downstream effect of making the area less interesting to tourists, and overall a worse place to live near.
