This is poorly written and could, despite the title, mean that someone at a desk in Toronto gets to decide if a school street ordinance in Nipissing is okay or not. Leave us alone and spend your time working on provincial issues, not municipal ones.

Cyclists in my lane when I am driving slow things down faster than having a bike lane. Every cyclist reduces car traffic... thank goodness. Encourage them to ride so I can drive.

Bill 60 is another example of government over-reach, an attempt by the current government to strip municipalities of their rights. Lire davantage

Narrowing car lanes results in slower city driving and less crashes and fatalities. Narrowing road lanes can thus allow for more room for bike and pedestrian paths. This needs to be done in cities especially. Back roads and highways can be left as-is. Lire davantage

I am a citizen who lives and works in downtown Toronto. I use all forms of transportation, such as public transit, cycling, and driving. I am strongly opposed to this proposed bill, which won't actually solve our transportation needs. Lire davantage

Bill 60 is just one more example of our societal decline when you have misguided, incompetent politicians trying to distract the public from real problems that need serious people who can address serious issues. Lire davantage

This bill is not about evidence based transportation. It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. Lire davantage

As a year round cycle commuter in Scarborough, I risk my life everyday. Just to be able to ride my bike to work. A game changing bike lane was removed from brimley rd. Just when people were starting to feel safe using it. We have to do better to give people alternatives to driving.

This law to prohibit removing traffic lanes prevents local government from functioning efficiently. It creates red-tape and slows down the transportation and urban planning process. We should let municipalities who know their unique traffic conditions best make the appropriate decisions. Lire davantage

As a driver and bike rider in Ontario I am firmly against this bill. This is provincial overreach in municipal matters, it strip local residents from making the safest decision for their neighborhood. Lire davantage

Please stop the silly war on bikes, and please stop interfering with a city that is trying to address a world on fire. Work with the city to make a better life for future generations.

Please stop Bill 60; I commute 8km to work and back home every working day of the year. I didn’t realise how much safer bike lanes made my commute until the construction on college street started this past month. Lire davantage

I don't own a vehicle. I rely on public transit and bike lanes to get around. I bike near daily. I bike to my doctors appointments along University Avenue where my dentist and allergist are. I bike to work as a Software Engineer near College and Bathurst. I bike because our grid lock is terrible. Lire davantage

It will worsen traffic congestion, not reduce it. The government’s ownexperts have consistently said that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock.

You can ban removing vehicle lanes to make new bike lanes but you can't ban me from taking the lane! Wouldn't you agree that cyclists deserve a safe lane to travel? We pay our taxes too and deserve protected bike lanes to protect us from vehicular manslaughter!

As a year-round cyclist in Toronto, I strongly oppose this proposal. Limiting municipalities from reallocating road space for bike lanes directly undermines public safety and sustainable transportation goals. Toronto’s roads are already unsafe. Lire davantage
