I oppose this bill as does everyone I know. This is draconian and anyone who wants to strip people of their ability to achieve and maintain stable housing should not only be ashamed of themselves, they shouldn’t be a public servant. Bill 60 is unethical and violates people’s basic right to housing. Lire davantage

I am writing to request the reconsideration of Bill 60. My concerns relate to the provincial oversight and restrictions on the installation of cycling infrastructure (i.e., bike lanes). Lire davantage

Executive Summary Ontario’s communities and economy thrive when infrastructure and transit growth balances safety, climate action, and ecosystem protection. Bill 60 must ensure Vision Zero, public transit, and natural carbon sinks are safeguarded to protect both people and our climate goals. Lire davantage

I do not support this bill because: It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. Lire davantage

I cannot believe that the province is considering measures like this against people cycling and transit users. Cities are for people and there is no more space for single occupancy vehicles. Please listen to your experts Lire davantage

It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. It will worsen traffic congestion, not reduce it. The government’s ownexperts have consistently said that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock. Lire davantage

Stop the war on bicycles and cyclists, and stop preventing municipalities from deciding what is right for them

The only scientifically-backed studies looking into reducing gridlock suggests exactly opposite of what this government is doing. Bicycling allows for an alternative to the automobile, and one in which is increasingly popular. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose bill 60 and the restrictions it places on safe bicycle infrastructure. It is an overreach that takes power away from communities.

I work in the financial district and take bike lanes to work everyday, 40 mins each way. The bike racks at work (one of the large bank buildings) are always almost full. It shows how many people use bikes to commute to work. Lire davantage

I am disappointed with this government again tabling a bill that puts people at risk of harm. Surely there are other priorities than the province involving themselves in municipal matters. Lire davantage

Please do not push this through!!! I am a cyclist and a driver, and bike lines are critical to my safety and the safety of others who commute on bike. They also help drivers stay safe by keeping cyclists separate. Lire davantage

This bill could not be a worse step in the wrong direction. This bill is a sledgehammer that takes any kind of control away from municipalities to determine how road space (that we all pay for) is used. Lire davantage

TORONTO NEEDS MORE BIKE LANES!! To reduce bike lanes in the city is a short sighted ecologically destructive counter productive move for our city. As a cyclist bike lanes are the only way to ensure my safety on the roads. Lire davantage

Bill 60 is absolutely going in the wrong direction. I will be vocal among my friends and coworkers that this government needs to go if this is what they're trying to implement. There was a reason Bill 212 was shot down by the courts. Lire davantage

Eternity will absolutely shame obstructionists in this government for their pathetic weasel corruption. If you actually believe that more cars will ever solve congestion you are just simply lost. Traffic is as good now as it will ever be. Removing alternatives to driving will only make it worse. Lire davantage
