I support the proposed changes. To add to this, If there was somehow a way to add the points of 6 hunters to apply for a tag. If awarded a tag, all 6 hunters loose their points. It would be in a sense, the same as back in the 80's, however, 6 people applying would all be back to zero points.

When are camp puts in for tags and 7 out of 8 guys get tags, who needs that amount we only need two. That’s why they are not claiming them. I don’t know why we can’t be like Newfoundland or Quebec their system works well. Four guys to get a tag works believe it or not. Read more

Would Ontario look at a similar moose program as Quebec where each year changes which moose are available to harvest. Hunters would need more than one tag to harvest. Our group varies from 6 to 8 hunters we would be happy to use all our tags to be able to hunt one moose. Read more

If the intention is to make the tag allocation system "more fair" Points should be deducted from all successful applicants in the first round as well as the new proposed third round regardless of if they "took" bought the tag or not. or Read more

Why not just go back to the lottery system. It seems this system they have in place is very confusing from what i have heard from hunters that seem to try an figure this out. Should be a lot simpler. Had a calf tag, saw 3 bulls and a cow. So was an unsuccessful hunt. Read more

To obtain a moose tag, I am forced to apply as a group. However, the tag gets allocated to an individual therefore if that person can not take time off or decides to hunt alone or else where, the several people who paid about of money now can not hunt. Read more

please look at the quebec moose hunting system every hunter can buy a moose tag and go hunting when a moose is harvest you have put a minimun of 3 tags on the moose one year you can hunt only bulls and calf and the next year you can hunt everything this system is working and it alows more hunters t Read more
