Considering the challenges posed to a calf moose in their first year including the likelihood of predation, it would be rational to remove calf tags completely from the draw process and have an adult moose draw exclusively. Read more

I think over all these changes are reasonably in line with how I have felt about the points system. While I don't have a direct issue with the points system the biggest concern has always been the unclaimed tags. Read more

I had to not accept a bull tag in 2023. Tag was awarded in second allocation. I just moved and with a back injury, was not able to hunt. I waited 18 years to finally get a tag. I would not agree it would be fair to zero my points unless changes are made. Read more

This system is the worst. All you’re allowing is for the moose population to be completely eradicated. How about you start limiting the moose genocide the indigenous are doing. Once that is complete you can stop giving out calf tags. Read more

I think this is a fantastic idea as frequently people apply for tags and do not claim them and it’s taking away from hunters who do want to get out and obtain an animal. I feel as though this will aid in the elimination of hunters who do not plan to hunt but want to continue to build points. Read more

There should be a penalty to those applying in the first allocation that are awarded tags and not claiming them. I.E. forfeiture of half their point balance or full point balance. The concept of the point based draw was for individual participation. Read more

I don’t see what’s wrong with returning a tag especially if you don’t get an adult cow tag don’t claim the calf it’s getting ridiculous how whiners are ruining moose hunting in Ontario Read more
